Taking care of your car’s two important parts
One thing about the cars in our society is certain, we need them. Many people in different places can’t really survive without a car. Sure there are buses but it makes it hard especially in this busy life.It makes sense to know how to care for cars since they are very important in our lives. So we are going to look at two major parts of our car that always need to be maintained.
The first very important part of a car is the engine. This is like the heart of a car.It will die or stop working if you don’t take good care of this part of your car. So in my Vista auto repair service I make sure my customers know how important this part is. But it is also easy to take care of. If a person will just perform a regular tune ups and change oils he will keep his car in very good shape.
The transmission is the next important part of the car. In being able to drive your car this is critical. Any use of your car ceases if your transmission breaks down. In my Oceanside auto repair shop I see so many broken down transmissions. Most of the failures could have been avoided. The main way to do that is to ensure the supply of enough fluids at all times.Plus to ensure that changing gears are done gently and at a complete stop always.
Taking good care of your car’s transmission and engine isn’t that difficult as you can see. All it takes is a commitment to make sure to care for that part of your car. I tell all of my clients of my shop that doing a little maintenance now will save them a lot of money later. They end up having cars that last a long time without any problems those who are willing to do that. Those that don’t end up with cars they have to bring in all the time with problems.

How to save with auto repair expenses
One thing the bad economy has done is caused people to want to save money.People in general are always in search of ways to save money. One way that often gets overlooked is taking care of your car. People think of it as an expense. Instead they should look at it as an investment.Because if they did take the time to put some money into caring for the car it will save them in the long run.In addition their car will save them money by lasting longer. They could keep their car longer instead of buying a new one.
So here are some tips to saving with auto repair expenses. In my Escondido auto repair service I always advise my clients to do regular tuneups. If they take the time to change out the sparkplugs and check all the fluids it will help. It will keep their car’s engine running smoother. In addition it is going to help it last longer.
Another piece of advise I give my clients of my Carlsbad transmission repair service shop is to take care of their transmission. The transmission is a very expensive part of the car to repair. Plus it is a part of the car that is easily damaged. So the best way to care for your transmission is to be easy on it when you drive.Do not attempt to change gear while the car is in motion. In adittion you are going to want to be sure there is enough transmission fluid.A transmission that is damaged could end up costing someone thousands of dollars in auto repair costs. The thing that will work the best for you to do is to care for it now.
So those were a few things you could do to help your car to last longer. As previously stated you are going to spend the money now. But if you do, you will save more money in the long run. It has been proven time after time with my clients of my Oceanside auto repair service shop. As with anything fixing something is always more expensive then making sure it doesn’t break.

Auto repairs and how to avoid it
One of the things that people can’t live without is a car.If you think about it, people can’t go anywhere without it.It truly is a necessity these days. But it is also an expensive investment as well. Not just in the money that you used to buy it.But also in the expenses that one will incur on repairs and maintenance. And if you want to get the most out of your car then you have to keep it regularly maintained. So here are some of the tips on keeping your car in good shape.
First thing you need to do is change the oil regularly. It sounds simple but it is very necessary for your car. I try to remind the customers of my auto repair San Diego shop how important it is. By taking care of your oil it naturally makes your car last longer. But not doing it will result to major problems for your car.Your car’s engine will fail if there is no oil in it. And if that happens then that would be the end of your car it it would be a very expensive repair.
Another bad thing that can be caused by not changing your car’s oil regulalrly is failing a smog test. If you couple this with not doing regular tuneups and you will fail a smog check easily. It happens all the time at my smog test San Diego shop.I encountered car owners who bring in their cars who hasn’t changed their cars’ oils yet. And they also did not make their cars undergo tuneups. As a result, their cars run badly.Their engines also ran badly. So they failed their smog test. But those are just the beginning of the problems. Not caring for your cars the way it was mentioned above will result to major problems.
Finally you want to care for your brakes. This is another essential part of your car that is always used. And it is one of the most expensive parts of your car to repair. One of the pieces of advice I give to all my San Diego brake service clients is to take care of their brakes.Abiding by these steps will make your car last longer.

Why maintaining your car is important
One of the things people don’t realize is how important maintaining your vehicle is.We overlook how important these cars are that we use to drive us wherever we want.We seem not to understand that our safety is always at risk whenever we go driving. Plus they don’t realize our car’s safety is on the line whenever we drive. So here are the following 2 very critical auto maintenance jobs.
First off it is important for the overall health of your car to always do tuneups. What I am talking about is making sure your car is on schedule for regular tuneups. As talked about already, your car is really one of your big investments in life.If you don’t take care of it you are opening it up to the risk of severe damage. I have seen many clients ruin their vehicle and take it into my auto repair San Diego shop after the fact. I see that if they had just performed some routine maintenance, the problem may never have happened.
Another point to take in is the fact when you do regular tuneups you will also make your car run cleaner. With a lot of scrutiny being placed on cleaner air and cleaner emmissions it is important. Because if you don’t take care of your car it can run the risk of faiing a smog check. I have seen older cars that when taken care of pass with flying colors in my smog test San Diego shop by doing regular tune ups.I have also witnessed the opposite way as well.Cars that didn’t have regular care are usually the ones that will fail.
Finally probably the most important part of your car is your brakes. But most people don’t even give it a second thought most of the time.By not doing a good job of caring for your brakes you are taking a chance of more expensive repairs. In my San Diego brake service I see cars have expensive brake repair jobs because they didn’t do simple maintenance. By just monitoring their brakes.Or if regular maintenance and checks were done on it, that could have save them money.

One of the most costly repairs you can have for your car is the transmission. It is a big part of your car. Taking care of it is very important.By doing some maintenance on your car you will end up saving a lot of money.Since it is something you won’t be able to fix yourself, you still can do some checking at home.By doing the checking first at home, you can verify if you really need to bring it in.
First off since I own a Vista auto repair shop I know how expensive transmission repairs can be.So I make sure that my clients do a couple of checks prior to bringing it in. This way they can make sure they need to come in.First thing they can check is the fluid. The fluid should be clear. If you find that the fluid is black or dark, that is a warning sign of problems and the car has to be brought in.
Second thing they can check at home is to check the gear shifting. You can perform this by just shifting the gears from park to drive. Or you can move it from park to reverse. What you are trying to see is if the gears do the shifting smoothly. What you don’t want to feel is any jerking motion. If you do have jerking that is a sign that something is wrong with your tranmission. In my La Costa transmission repair shop this is one of the big signs of transmission problems.Quite a few cars that are brought in have this problem.
Finally you can check for any leaks of your transmission fluid. You once again check this with your dipstick. But you won’t know unless you perform this check regularly. I advise all my customers in my La Costa auto repair shop to always check your fluids.People are used to checking for oil. But they should also check their transmission fluid. This allows you to know if their is any leaking of fluid.
If you perform these steps on your car you are making sure your transmission stays in good condition.

How to get more out of your transmission
One of the most costly repairs on a car is the transmission. It is one of those things you hate hearing about in regards to repairing your car.So without question people are searching for methods to get their car to last longer.Or they are interested in knowing if it even can be done. Like anything it is possible. You can make it last longer by making sure to take care of them. But here are some more things that are more specific in helping your transmission get more life.
First thing you have to do without fail is keep the proper levels of fluid.Just like most things in your vehicle you want to have your fluids at the right level. But with a transmission it is crucial if you want your car to last longer. Whenever a client takes there car in to the La Costa transmission repair shop I run I always check their fluids.I make sure to suggest to them to keep a watchful eye on their fluid levels. If they run their car with low fluids they will surely ruin their transmission.Or it will not give them as much life as they want.
Second thing they can do is that heat kills transmissions. So what you want to do is make sure you keep your transmission cool. One of the most effective way to accomplish that is by putting in some transmission cooler. You can get it at your local auto parts store. Of course when clients come and bring their cars in to our Vista auto repair shop we add it in also. This gives the transmission the ability to run cooler.
Lastly here is one that is easy.Don’t ever try to shift the gears while your car is moving. You will be surprised at the number of people who ruin their cars by shifting gears while the car is moving. I am not because we see it all the time in our La Costa auto repair shop. People bring their cars in with ruined transmissions because they shifted while moving.

Do these things and you can make it last a long time.
